I have 25+ years’ experience of advising businesses and senior executives across the range of employment law issues.  (Read about Nick’s particular experience and

My focus tends to be on the strategic and sensitive aspects of corporate life, identifying and delivering employment related solutions, often in challenging circumstances.

I have been privileged to work with some of the UK’s leading businesses and their senior management teams, gaining a real insight into what clients really value from their lawyers; this interaction has helped me shape how I advise on people related risk, and how I work with clients to mitigate it.  That’s a huge part of what being a lawyer is all about.

Whether I am representing a company or an individual, my approach will be the same: listen and understand first, then focus on the right outcome for the client and work together, in partnership, to agree and implement an effective course.

Although it seems like decades ago when I started in this line of work (maybe because it was), those years of commercial experience still count for a lot, so clients tell me; receiving feedback that my views and guidance have been pivotal in determining a particular course of action will always be satisfying, just as much as resolving a real-life conundrum or conflict.

Outside of work I’m usually somewhere in the great outdoors with my family, either on two wheels, in a pair of walking boots or camping out (with a beer or two) under the stars.
